www.east-pak-eu.com is the European portal for the bag and backpacks company Eastpak, a million dollar company. It is one of the high traffic community sites catering to the Eastpack European company.

 

Problem/Challenges:

Ease of updation of contents in all the major European languages. Member profile, News management.

Solution:

Php Nuke - open source content management system was used as the base module.

The whole functionality of the website was developed in PHP/MYSQL technolgies

www.eastpak-eu.com saw a rapid increase in community members and became one of the busiest sites in the bags and backpacks online community sites.

Technologies used

Php Nuke was used to create the base functionality of a content management application. PHP was used as the scripting language for enhancing the functional logic.

MySQL was chosen as the back-end database server because of its speed, reliability,
and status as market leader.
